I was watching The Early Show on CBS this morning and this was their viral video of the day. I love this video and I blogged about it here last April. I am sharing this video with you today because it is awesome and to remind you that Spreadshirt now offers the American Apparel Track Jacket for you to customize. It is not the exact same one as in the video, ours doesn’t have the white trim. But the track jacket is here (in white, black, red and navy) and it is awesome. I like to think of it as the more formal version of the hoodie.

Adam shows off some of the anti holiday designs over on the Spreadshirt UK Blog and reminds us of this most amazing holiday. I am thinking we need some festivus t-shirts.

I just got an email from The Sky Drops, they are band that is performing in Pittsburgh in few weeks and would like me to maybe write about them on one of my Pittsburgh blogs.   So I was checking out their website, which is really well done - great photography and colors.  I then click the link for  “store” - since I work for Spreadshirt I now check out everyones t-shirts and online shops.  They have some great pictures of t-shirts  that are nicely displayed in the green grass.   But, when I click to order them they only have small and medium available in like 2 colors.

The shirts are a great text design and Spreadshirt rocks the text shirts.   While I know that Spreadshirt can’t help with the selling and shipping of things like CDs, we could definitely help with the apparel merchandising.  By setting up a free shop with us at Spreadshirt.  They could offer all of the colors in all of the sizes we offer and more.  I sent Rob and Monika an email and they were kind enough to let me write this blog post.  I do love the shirts, the colors and the excellent product shots.  I hope they will try out a Spreadshirt shop.

 You remember those old flipbooks from when you were a kid? Hundreds of panels painstakingly created so that when flipped then you got literally seconds of enjoyment! Well, this is the t-shirt version (apparently it used 150 shirts) by Erberts&Gerberts a chain of sandwich shops, and its brilliant:

We love text here at Spreadshirt and spend a lot of time looking at fonts. This film looks like a very interesting look at a font that we may take for granted. Helvetica is currently playing at Pittsburgh Filmmakers and it is an entire film about fonts.

Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which will celebrate its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. The film is an exploration of urban spaces in major cities and the type that inhabits them, and a fluid discussion with renowned designers about their work, the creative process, and the choices and aesthetics behind their use of type.

Helvetica encompasses the worlds of design, advertising, psychology, and communication, and invites us to take a second look at the thousands of words we see every day.
