I thought it was time for another post about t-shirts on the big screen. This time I am expanding to television. I have been noticing some great t-shirts on the TBS show MyBoys. The character Brendan (and some of the other characters) is wearing a great t-shirt in almost every scene.
It turns out that many of these t-shirts are from the shop WornFree.com - they resurrect and sell vintage t-shirts.
What other tv shows and movies have great t-shirts?
Thanks to Matthew of MilitantGeek for sharing this great idea in the comments.
Twitterfeed lets you add an RSS feed that automatically updates your twitter feed. Plus it lets you customize how often updates are posted. I have set this up for the Spreadshirt blog. I haven’t tried this yet but I think you could also add your rss feed for your shop to Twitterfeed.
How are you using twitter to promote your shop or talk about t-shirt?
Just wanted to share some pictures from the Spreadshirt t-shirt day party in Boston. We set up a tent at the farmers market in Copley Square and invited people to stop by to pick up their free t-shirt.
Here is the Spreadshirt tent:

Here is a happy t-shirt lover with their t-shirt. Check out some of the other t-shirts that people ordered here.

here are some more Spreaders in their favorite t-shirts…
Row 1:
Gigi - I love camo. It is a pretty color.
Jake - This is my lucky skateboard shirt.
Row 2:
Dave E. - My shirt is so comfortable and I live in t-shirts. This one also serves as a warning to fellow golfers.
Diane - “Crazy Doesn’t Even Begin To Cover It” - My shirt tells it all.
It is now officially T-shirt Day! Happy T-shirt Day to you! I decided that I couldn’t choose just one favorite t-shirt so I am going to share my top 3.

Here are my top 3 favorites t-shirts from top to bottom:
- PGH love t-shirt - this is my favorite Spreadshirt t-shirt, a subtle way to show which part of the state of PA is my favorite. I love the gold metallic on the black t-shirt.
- nantucket t-shirt - I love this t-shirt because it was a gift from my friend rachel. this t-shirt is really starting to wear and it is super soft. I almost always take it with me when I travel. It is from the t-shirt shop Anne and the Tees.
- Steeler Nation - this is my one Steelers t-shirt and I love it. This t-shirt was designed by my friends at Commonwealth Press. I love the silhouettes of the fans waving their terrible towels. I love this t-shirt soo much that I only wear it on very special occasions because I never want it to wear out.
We want to see your favorite t-shirts (it doesn’t have to be a Spreadshirt)! Please post to flickr and add the tag tshirtday08. Currently there are 43 pictures with the tag tshirtday08 on Flickr - I hope we will see at least 100! Not a flickr user? not a problem - just email me your picture lpa -at - spreadshirt.com with a brief description and I will add it to flickr.

I don’t know how this one slipped past me but I wanted to share this article about Spreadshirt from the SF Gate’s Wedding section. Great ideas for using Spreadshirt to create custom wedding favors. I love this idea - I made a simple tote for a friend with just her wedding date in silver flex. She is not the kinf of person who would carry a tote that says Carrie and Jeff forever, so I just stuck with the date - it is simple, but meaningful. The font Santa’s Sleigh is perfectly elegant for the wedding gifts too.

Today I ran into my friend Tony who is currently a fellow in the CORO Center for Civic Participation’s Public Affairs program (a year long leadership training program) here in Pittsburgh and other cities around the US.
Last fall the CORO fellows ordered some Spreadshirts to wear to promote the launch of a new website about non profit organizations - GreatNonprofits.org. Using some text and a simple star they created some great looking shirts for their launch event.
Today Tony’s friend was asking me where I worked and as soon as I said Spreadshirt - Tony jumped in to show off that he was wearing his Spreadshirt shirt from the fall. I asked if I could take a picture and how many times the shirt was washed - at least 6 times and the shirt is still looking great and has become a regular staple in Tony’s closet.
So here is a comparison - the shirt brand new and the shirt today. The white and yellow flex aren’t faded at all. The picture on the right is from my camera phone so it isn’t as crisp.

I was taking a look at this list of Web 2.0 resources, which kindly includes Spreadshirt as a favorite when I discovered this amazing little tool.
I love tracking my packages - I like to see where my box is at any given time so I am always looking for the tracking number, going to the website and reentering everything. With this little tool - you can now track your package from the comfort of your RSS reader - no more return visits to the tracking website.
