Smashing Magazine’s Showcase Of Online T-Shirt Stores

The other day I was reading a blog of someone who is looking to buy a new house and she shared a bunch of photos of houses she and her husband are looking to check out titled “house porn” - well I think it is fair to call this awesome list of Online T-shirt Stores from Smashing Magazine (an awesome blog that shares great examples of websites) “t-shirt porn.”  We are honored to be included in this great list of online t-shirt shops.  It is really fun to see all of these screen shots on one page.  Plus there were some shops here I had not seen before and some more good ones in the comments.

Here are a few of my favorites from the list…

  • Spreadshirt - of course
  • Storenvy - this looks really cool way to share and find online shops
  • Ampersand Shoppee - I just like the ampersand
  • Yellow Bird Project - I haven’t seen these guys in a while - nice site that sells some cool t-shirts for charity (or maybe I should say charitee!)
  • Shirt Pizza - I like how the shop is styled like a pizza shop menu
  • 200 Nipples - clever name.  I like the idea of limited edition numbered t-shirts - they sell 1 design at a time and 100 of each design.

Lots more great designs to check out.  See the entire list here: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2009/11/20/showcase-of-online-t-shirt-stores/

Our Reindeer has made the Examiner’s Holiday List

One of the super cute new items to our apparel line isn’t something you can wear.  For the holidays we added this cute little guy and you can customize his little shirt too.

Our little reindeer has made the Examiner’s list of Cool Holiday Themed Toys.

There is still time to order for Christmas delivery.  Today, December 18, 2008 is the last day to order for ground shipping and December 22, 2008 is the last day to order for next day shipping. continue reading ‘Our Reindeer has made the Examiner’s Holiday List’

Boston Globe Article on Spreadshirt CEO Jana Eggers

Check out this great article in today’s Boston Globe, Creativity Suits Her to a T, a nice profile on our CEO Jana Eggers.  When I first started at Spreadshirt - I never wore t-shirts to work, especially not printed t-shirts.  I think the only time I have ever seen Jana wear anything other than a Spreadshirt shirt was the first day she came to Spreadshirt.  Now I wear t-shirts all the time and I am constantly checking out other people’s t-shirts too.

Boston Herald Article on Spreadshirt CEO Jana Eggers

The business section of the Boston Herald has a great article about our very own CEO Jana Eggers! If you want to read more from Jana check out her blog LifeOnAShirt.com.

Techonology suits Jana Eggers to a T(Shirt)
Jana Eggers, global CEO of online T-shirt company Spreadshirt, loves nothing more than getting people excited about technology.

A real-time exchange illustrates her ease at drawing people in. A hotel bellman compliments Eggers on her T-shirt, which says, “Laughter, the shortest distance between two people.” It’s fitted, organic cotton – nothing cheap or cheesy.

Eggers says, “Thanks, I made it myself.” The bellman says, “That’s too bad,” and she says, “No, no, you can make one yourself.”

Eggers describes how he can just go to spreadshirt.com. He asks, “How many do I have to order?” She says, “One.” “Well,” he says, skeptical, “how expensive is that?” She tells him her shirt was $20.

“People don’t expect that,” Eggers says. “They don’t think they can go in, type in something that means something to them, get the shirt and, here’s the bonus – get it within 48 hours.”

You Don’t Need Hollywood To Become Famous

Face it, we all want our fifteen minutes of fame . . . or perhaps thirty minutes or more.
