I was watching The Early Show on CBS this morning and this was their viral video of the day. I love this video and I blogged about it here last April. I am sharing this video with you today because it is awesome and to remind you that Spreadshirt now offers the American Apparel Track Jacket for you to customize. It is not the exact same one as in the video, ours doesn’t have the white trim. But the track jacket is here (in white, black, red and navy) and it is awesome. I like to think of it as the more formal version of the hoodie.

February 1st is National Wear Red Day, this is a project of the American Heart Association to bring attention to the fact that heart disease is the number 1 killer of women (and men) and that heart disease can be prevented. More details about Wear Red Day and heart disease are available here.

I know that some reds look different, part of that is the photogrpahy and part of the color variation is the manufacturer. The toddler t-shirts are sized smaller for the little kids, the exisiting children’s t-shirt is better for bigger kids and adults that like small t-shirts. (sometime I order a kids large if I want a very fitted t-shirt).

There is a post, “Having an online store - my way!,” on the website AskMetaFilter about t-shirt shops that offer bamboo, hemp, and organic cotton. I tried to leave a reply on AskMetFilter but, you have to be a member for a week. So I thought I would post a reply here on our blog. Spreadshirt offers both bamboo and organic cotton items. The bamboo shirts feel amazing - almost like silk. You can usually find a couple of people at Spreadshirt wearing the long sleeve hooded bamboo shirt.
We have a few of them, so what is the difference?
Here is a nice picture that shows the Asphalt and Slate Men’s Jersey T-shirts side-by-side. I know the Slate t-shirt is a little wrinkled but at least you can see the color differences.
One of the new products that was added to the ever growing Spreadshirt product assortment is this snazzy track jacket from American Apparel. This jacket is perfect for many different occasions. The track jacket definitely works for the gym, but is also a more formal alternative to your basic hoodie. I prefer sweat shirts with the zip necks for the cold cold days (like today) because you can zip them up to keep your neck warm - much easier than wearing a scarf especially if you are running.

I am really excited to see what designs are printed on the track jacket.
Hood printing is now available on some of our more light weight hooded items - junior’s sleeveless sport hoodie and the junior’s long sleeve hooded tee.
I am excited to try his hood printing. I think this is a great way to use the valuable real estate on the back of the hooded shirts. I don’t usually put things on the back of the hooded sweatshirts because the hood covers the printing but I am hoping I can position the text or design on the hood so that when the hood is down it add something to read to the back.
