Spreadshirt: New and Later - A Shirt for a New Website

Today I ran into my friend Tony who is currently a fellow in the CORO Center for Civic Participation’s Public Affairs program (a year long leadership training program) here in Pittsburgh and other cities around the US.

Last fall the CORO fellows ordered some Spreadshirts to wear to promote the launch of a new website about non profit organizations - GreatNonprofits.org. Using some text and a simple star they created some great looking shirts for their launch event.

Today Tony’s friend was asking me where I worked and as soon as I said Spreadshirt - Tony jumped in to show off that he was wearing his Spreadshirt shirt from the fall. I asked if I could take a picture and how many times the shirt was washed - at least 6 times and the shirt is still looking great and has become a regular staple in Tony’s closet.

So here is a comparison - the shirt brand new and the shirt today.  The white and yellow flex aren’t faded at all. The picture on the right is from my camera phone so it isn’t as crisp.

Interview with Blue Fish T-Shirts

Check out this nice interview, from the blog T-Shirt Watch, with Justin Dean - owner of Blue Fish T-Shirts. Dean talks about how he got started selling t-shirts and lessons he’s learned running a t-shirt business. Justin has some great insights on what is involved in starting and running a t-shirt business. Thanks Justin, for the kind words about Spreadshirt.com.

Do you use a fulfillment platform like CafePress or Spreadshirt? What has your experience been?
When I first started out I had no money to spend on equipment or inventory. All I had was a passion to sell t-shirts and a few designs in my mind. I knew about CafePress but I wasn’t impressed with the pricing or the quality. I wanted to offer something better for my customers. I searched around and found Spreadshirt. The service and quality from Spreadshirt is amazing. If you are starting out in the tshirt business then Spreadshirt is the way to go. They gave us the platform and the resources to get us started. We still have a wonderful relationship with the Spreadshirt team, although we’ve recently moved into screen printing our shirts ourselves. Spreadshirt handles our “Design Your Own” sales and we handle everything else in house now.

We like feedback

Here is a very nice blog post from The Far Reaches Blog about receiving their order from Spreadshirt. We are always happy hear from our customers. Positive (or negative) we appreciate your feedback. We are glad you like the t-shirts!

I just got the new Far Reaches t-shirts in the mail today, and I must say they look pretty good (did I even mention I was working on them?) In fact, I wasn’t expecting them to look anything as nice as they turned out. I rather thought they’d suck, but Spreadshirt.com does a pretty good job for print-on-demand. continue reading ‘We like feedback’
