Our colleagues at Spreadshirt.net have been having a great time with testing and Twitter these days. They have come up with the Twardrobe project. I like the way that Andreas summarizes our testing process - we pretest harder than you party. We got some great feedback about the tests we did on the American Apparel t-shirts and how much they shrink after a trip through the dryer.

We are reaching out to you, our faithful Spreadshirt users to help us test some of the new items that we will be launching in the coming weeks.  We will be giving away some of these new items on Twitter in the next few days.  Here is how the Twardrobe works:

1. Follow Spreadshirtcom on Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/Spreadshirtcom
2. Check our Tweets - watch for an announcement about Twardrobe
3. When you see a tweet about Twardrobe - reply to @spreadshirtcom with the word “absolutely”
4. We will select one of the replies and send you one of the new apparel items for you to test
5. Wear it, Share it, Wash It - and send us your feedback!

Well, here is good news! Spreadshirt is partnering with crowdSPRING.com, an online design community, in sponsoring a Valentine’s Day Design contest. There are two $500 prizes up for grabs – and you could have one of them.

Here is what you need to do:

• Go to crowdSPRING.com to find out more about the contest
• Create Valentine’s Day themed vector designs
• Upload your design ideas to your account on crowdSPRING.com

The deadline for submissions is January 15th, 2009. If you’re selected as a winner, Spreadshirt will purchase your design for $500. If you’re not a winner, you can still upload your design to your shop or marketplace and make a hefty buck on the commissions.

I have posted about some of the past ThisNext contests before. ThisNext is a social network centered around shopping - you can easily submit things you would like to buy - including shirts from your Spreadshirt shop to the ThisNext site and you can keep track of things you would like to buy. It is a pretty easy way to share you t-shirts with a new audience.

Since Halloween is near - less than 2 months away - they have launched a Halloween contest - just submit your favorite Halloween items and add the tag “TN Halloween” the more items you submit - the more chances you have to win. The prize is a $300 gift certificate to Spirit Halloween stores.

Woo Hoo! I may have mentioned this before but I love free t-shirt. Well I love t-shirts and my job as Spreadshirt’s t-shirt blogger has turned me into a t-shirt loving machine. I am even thinking about a t-shirt walker post, kind of like Fashionista’s Streetwalker but just about finding cool t-shirts on the streets. Let me know if you think that would be a good read.

I know that the kids just went back to school (or are going back to school on Tuesday). I was reading the Instructables blog - their office was attacked by Zombies which reminded me remind that Halloween is just around the corner.

Yes, techincally Halloween is October 31st but in t-shirt world we get to start much earlier, we need to design them, add them to our shops, and order shirts in time to wear them to multiple Halloween parties.
