One of the goals we’ve set for this year is to optimize our website and your shops for search engines.
We want to make it easier for the well-known search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN,…) to find your shop. You would then start to get free and first-rate visitors from the search engines who are (hopefully) there to buy your shirts. To make this all work like it should, a little effort also needs to be put in on your side.

Part 1 – Meta Element Changes
Shop meta tags will be the first change which will be undertaken (planned for mid-March, but could also be delayed by a few days).
In the future, we will automatically generate the meta tags (title, description, keywords) for your shop from information which you have provided in the user area.

We have just added 3 new products to the Spreadshirt apparel collection today. Two for baby and a lovely green t-shirt just in time for St. Patrick’s day.

Rather than write about Friday the 13th t-shirts (are there any t-shirts about Friday the 13th?) I thought we could skip ahead a day and talk about t-shirts for February 14.

Hide Your Arms has a post on t-shirt for the day 14 Tees That You Should Wear on Valentine’s Day. My favorite from the list is the Heartris Tee, makes me miss playing Tetris on my gameboy. If Valentine’s Day isn’t for you - check out the Hide Your Arms post from last year “14 Tees That You Shouldn’t Wear on Valentines Day”.

Buy-Tees has a post about the lack of good Valentine’s Day t-shirts, but I have to say I kind of like this html t-shirt from ThinkGeek. Check out all of the user submitted pictures of this shirt here.

While this is not just for Valentine’s Day - The Heart Invaders t-shirt from Amorphia Apparel is perfect for the occasion. Check out some other heart designs from Amorphia Apparel here.

Another shirt that isn’t just for Valentine’s Day, but the pink heart makes it a good choice for Feb. 14 is this Have a Heart T-shirt from the Little City Design’s Etsy Shop.  Aside from the fact that I think this is a really cool looking shirt - all of the proceeds from this shirt are going to a foundation to support the artist’s godmother’s children.  Read the whole story here.

One of the things I posted on the IheartPGH blog this morning is a glass flower making workshop. For $25 you and a loved one can make your very own glass flower at the Pittbsurgh Glass Center. If you aren’t near Pittsburgh check out this tutorial that I found on the Etsy Blog (also on the Craft Blog) - how to make roses out of ribbon. Now we just need some one to come up with a way to make flowers out of t-shirts!

I woke up this mornign with 2 big things to blog about and I was pretty sure I was going to need two blogs posts to cover the important news of both the Steelers Super Bowl Win and Ground Hog Day.  Lucky for me the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s editoral cartoon does a beutiful day of combining these important events with the number 6.

Back in 2007 I wrote a blog post about the lack of ground hog day t-shirts out there “Groundhog Day Challenge.”  While there still aren’t many groundhog day t-shirts out there, I am happy to report that I found one groundhog day t-shirt in the Spreadshirt marketplace, it is pretty cute too.
