“This site may harm your computer.” From Error to T-shirt

I have been a quest to get things read in my Google reader - I follow alot of websites about t-shirts, the internets and all things Pittsburgh (of course I have been busy researching all things Super Bowl). I noticed this post on Mashable this morning but I didn’t think too much of it. It turns out that for about 20 minutes this morning Google listed every site on the internet and included the phrase “This site may harm your computer”.

The story has since been picked up by the Washington Post and the Official Google Blog has a post on it too there was a lot of chatter about it on twitter too - #googlemayharm. The problem has been corrected - the internets will not harm your computer! Mashable is reporting that the problem was caused by a human error.

I was just checking to see what people were saying about Spreadshirt on Twitter and found this tweet that had been retweeted a few times linking to a shirt and shop from a European Spreadshirt shop partner about the whole event. I love that there is a t-shirt about this already and I really like how they used the different colors for the fonts. The shirt is available in white and black and there is also a sweatshirt too. I am not sure if they plan to open a Spreadshirt shop for the US or not.

From UPS - Winter Weather Delays

The winter weather is causing a few more problems than just having to turn up the heat.  UPS has issued a statement about Winter Weather Delays.  Sit tight your items are still on their way - but may be a day or two late.  From UPS

Winter Weather Delays

Severe winter weather in the U.S. is affecting all transportation carriers. UPS operations have been impacted, including UPS WorldPort, our main air hub in Louisville, KY. Poor highway conditions have also affected ground and freight transportation. UPS has deployed contingency plans and is making every effort to keep your shipments moving.

The UPS package guarantee does not apply when transportation networks are affected by weather. You can track your shipments or view the latest information in the
Service Update on ups.com.

Some Things to Keep You Warm…

If you live anywhere in the US aside from California and Florida then you know that it is cold outside. I was just on the phone with some of the marketing team members who are in Ohio and Boston and we were comparing snow fall amounts.  Check out this video of some people surfing in New Jersey last weekend - just watching them makes me cold.  All this cold just makes you want to curl up inside with a cup of hot chocolate (check out this recipe for homemade hot chocolate) and watch a movie (I have had CNN on all day listening to the coverage of the Blagojevich Hearings - almost as dramatic as a movie but not quite the same thing).

I thought I would take this opportunity to show off some of the warm and cozy items in the Spreadshirt marketplace.

I’m Complex Junior’s Distressed Hooded Sweatshirt - I think that the distressed hooded sweatshirt has to be our coziest item available. This product is very fitted - order a larger size - I am wearing an XXL one from the Craftster.org shop right now. The material is fit and the edges are frayed just enough so that it feels like this is an old favorite from the minute you put it on.

Moose Rider Track Jacket - I love this track jacket, it is like a more formal version of the hooded sweat shirt. I think the moose rider design is really fun too. You can check out more designs from Spit-Inc here.

Hedgehog in the Snow Baby Blanket - I think that the baby blanket is one of the most over looked items in our collection. This blanket is soft and cute and you have a big space to customize too.  This little hedgehog is too cute.  Check out some of the other great designs from eyecandy here.

If you have a Spreadshirt shop - please share a link to your coziest items in the comments below.

It is so cold outside you can hammer a nail with a banana!

If you are not in California or Florida it is really really cold outside. i was sitting here thinking about writing a post about our warmest sweatshirts when I saw this on CNN “Frozen banana hammers nail” and I think that sums up the cold situation.  You can order that headline on a t-shirt here.

Take a walk through some t-shirt shops from your computer

The T-shirt Review has a great blog post about the website Iffyton High Street - which is a cool website from the UK where the links to the t-shirt shops are lined up like a store front.  I think this is kind of a cool way to check out some great t-shirt shops.  Iffyton High Street also has an online music venue and a tv channel as part of the businesses on the street.
