Nope. If you have a shop you are already ready to go. Just start promoting your shop and getting orders.
Where should I start?
What about a free shipping campaign for the next weekend in your blog/Facebook/MySpace Account? Just announce the voucher code SPRINGFREE (or CADSPRINGFREE for Canada) and let the new customer arrive. Ah … and stay tuned to the blog for updates and tips for getting more sales in your shop.

I will give you an iPod Shuffle if you convice Spreadshirt management to drop the base prices on all products so we can start making some sales. That is my idea and it is free.
I have a several-stage marketing campaign. First, I have an opt-in mailing list of customers and visitors who have signed up for my newsletter that announces new products and sales. To make my newsletter more appealing, I also include “industry news” that is related to the theme of my shirts. So I sent out an email to the mailing list notifying everyone of the sale.
Then, I blogged about it in my personal blog.
Then I mentioned it in several LiveJournal Community blogs that are relevant to the content of my shirts.
Then I did the same two things with my MySpace account.
Of course, I also created an ad banner (usually I use the ones that Spreadshirt provides, but they didn’t have one this time) that I placed on the front page of my store website (I have a website that is separate from Spreadshirt that redirects my customers to the Spreadshirt account, so I can better control the look and content).
What are the correct expiration dates for the free shipping deal? “Use coupon code SPRINGFREE for free ground shipping April 19, 2008 & April, 2008″
Thanks for pointing that out - I lost a number when I was posting. The FREE SHIPPING is for April 19, 2008 and April 20, 2008. I have updated the post. Happy selling!

FunnyGuy - Thanks for your comment. We are always working to offer the best prices we can. All of our shirts are made by hand to create a high quality finished products. We have been able to lower prices on some items. Stay tuned to the blog and forums for price updates.
It pays to have a good solid niche. I’ve been in the POD market for about 3 years now, but this spring I just launched a new store and collection of designs inspired by a cartoon series, the Squidbillies. I’ve done fairly minimal marketing - blogs, MySpace, other social networks that have groups for the show, plus just basic SEO and things.
I’ve been doing amazing business with this niche. There are people out there who want what I’m making and I’m basically the only person/shop out there with all these designs available.
If you make it (and it is unique), they will find it.
I’ve had a lot of success with adding my items to the Google Product Search. In fact, 80% of my traffic comes directly from Google… and being part of the product search is a big reason why.
Do a search for “marquette warriors shirt” on Google and you’ll see what I mean.
Here’s a few that’s worth mentioning. Some of these are mentioned above but I’m recapping on them.
Froogle
Stumble Upon
Facebook Profile
Facebook Marketplace
Facebook Ads
Myspace Profile
Google Adwords (this is OK but IMO you need big $ to be successful)
Adbrite.com (I love this one)
Text-Link-Ads.com (very cheap advertising on some good sites)
ProjectWonderful.com (This is a good one also)
ThreadReviews.com (which is mine if anyone doesn’t know about it)
Tshirtwatch.com will review your site, if it’s worthy.
AdamsBalls.com will print your logo on pong balls. I ordered some and sent them to friends in college.
T-shirtmodels.com (You can find models at a fair price)
Textmarks.com (You can setup ads for mobile users to see your monthly coupons or specials)
Word of mouth is one of the best ways. I give away free shirts all the time and use my commissions to do so. That way it doesn’t cost me out of pocket. Offer free shirts to your Myspace friends and give some away locally.
There are a few more and I’ll post them later. Must find coffee and wake up first
I’d have to say that my best marketing tip is to go viral by placing a “commercial” for your spreadshirt items over on YouTube.com
I’ve done that and have had luck with sales!
USE FACEBOOK to advertise, find groups that fit your shirts
When will we be notified about the gift certificates?
Thx!
