The "fingerprint" you can see is due to the woven texture of the garment being represented by a set number of pixels. In the reduced size pic in the blog (before you click on it to see the larger one) the effect is even more noticeable due to the crude scaling that most browsers use.

A large number of pixels is great for photography, but its always worth resizing, in a good Photo Editing Package, to the display size you want before posting on web, otherwise the maths involved will give you the effect you have seen.

I agree with you, I like the darker shirt. I also like the different fonts on this. They match the message.
