Spreadshirt shop partner WearPittsburgh has a huge article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette today! As of 5pm this is the most emailed article at Post-Gzettte.com today! Congratulations! I met Mike who, as the article mentions, is considered the Godfather of Pittsburgh Blogging at PodCamp or one of the blogfests a few years ago. Mike formally launched WearPittsburgh last week and it has become quite the buzz around town.
The newest line of Pittsburgh T-shirts don’t say The Burgh, Stillers, Yinzer or the rest of the black-and-gold cliches.
No, these are inside jokes that speak to your inner Pittsburgh-ness, your ability to laugh at yourself and your city — lovingly, of course.
For example, a T-shirt that says “Reserved Parking” shows an image of a chair. Another shows an image of the Statue of Liberty hoisting up not a torch, but a Terrible Towel, with the caption “S’Liberty.”
Mike has done a great job of creating unique shirt designs that highlight Pittsburgh with out saying “This is a Pittsburgh t-shirt” or the frequent I heart PGH (I mean really, who would sell a shirt like that). I was going to tell you all about the parking chair but I thought I would see anyone knows what is a parking chair first.

Do you have parking chairs in your town?

In Chicago, we’d put chairs in the spots we’d shovel out after a snow storm so nobody would park there till you got back.
We’d do the same thing in Boston!
