Highland Cattle and Sightseeing via Google

One of the best (and often funny) things about working at Spreadshirt is seeing what people put on a t-shirts. I also get to learn about really cool things when people blog about their t-shirts.

I cam across this blog post on Rotacoo.com about their logo on t-shirts in the logo designer’s Spreadshirt shop.

Cool Thing #1:

Their logo is refered to as “Heelan Coo” - following the link to wikipedia I learn that is another term for highland cattle.

Cool Thing #2:

Rotacoo is the blog for the website GoogleSightseeing.com which is an awesome website and book about cool things seen via Google maps.

Google Sightseeing takes you on tour of the world as seen from satellite, using the freely downloadable Google Earth, or Google Maps directly in your web browser. Each weekday your guides James and Alex introduce new weird and wonderful sights as suggested by the reader community.

Google Sightseeing even has a post about Pittsburgh’s very own Cathedral of Learning.

I signed up for the social shopping site ThisNext yesterday - just to check it out. Today I received and email from ThisNext about text for walls. Blix will make words for you walls. Spreadshirt can make words for you to wear. Text t-shirts are one of the things we do best. We have added many new fonts and with many different shirt and color combinations. You can wear your words, your way. (via ThisOne)

Fashionably Yours from Spreadshirt

ShinyStyle highlights Spreadshirt as one of three websites to check out for DIY fashion.

When tailoring the latest designer ensemble is taking its toll on your wardrobe budget, DIY fashion could be a wiser option. Finding the perfect pair of jeans, tailored dresses, or fashion-forward t-shirts with your own label is easier than ever with the growth of online custom-made apparel shops and websites that let us create our own trend following. Sites such as UJeans, Spreadshirt.com, and Rebecca & Drew allow us to find exactly the right fit with high quality and the latest trends in mind.

We are happy to be called fashionable and affordable.  We think t-shirts are very fashionable and that custom, personal t-shirts are super fashionable.

There is still time…

But we wanted to give everyone a heads up on the Pre-Holiday Partner Contest.

A contest set-up for shop partners with 3 separate categories and 3 separate prizes. This contest will give all levels of partners and shops from experienced to beginner and high sales to low sales a chance to win a prize and gain some super recognition. We decided to run this contest during the busy pre-holiday season so that all of your hard work equals out to sales for YOU!
When is it? (Contest Dates:) November 1st – 26th

What are the levels and what can I win?
The 3 categories and corresponding prizes are as follows:

Lets Learn German: Lob

We just finished our company wide meeting and we have a few guests from Spreadshirt Germany who are here visiting the US.  Who helped with the presentation.  One of the things we were talking about was complaints and lob.  Yes, lobs.  When I hear the word “lob” I think tennis.   From wikipedia

A lob in tennis is hitting the ball high and deep into the opponent’s court. It can be used as an offensive or defensive weapon depending on the situation.

But, there is actually no tennis taking place in customer service.  It turns out that lob is the German word for “praise”.

So the German lesson for today:

German - Lob = English - Praise
