The Great Space Debate

We have been having a very interesting conversation about spacing here in the office this morning. Do you put one space or two after a period. Lynsie and I are both strong believers of the double space. Others in the office are single space die hards. We took the argument to google and came up with this video

I am still not convinced. Lynsie and I will be chanting “double space forever, single space never” for the rest of the day.

This guy is 100% correct. Unless you are using a typewriter, you need to use a single space after a period. I made the difficult switch about ten years ago when a recent college grad pointed it out to me. A double space also dates people a little bit, so if you are hung up about your age you might want to try the single space.

Oh no! I don’t want to be “dated”…but I’m also not quite sure I’m ready to let go of my love for the double space.
