So I was going to write about the fact that it is actually snowing today, but the flood seems way more interesting. We have had weeks of warm weather and the past few days have just been rain here in Pittsburgh. And now we have flooding. Most days the Spreadshirt staff at the Pittsburgh office parks in the Mon-Wharf lot. Which is a parking lot along the edge of the Monongahela river just below our office.
This is what the Mon Wharf usually look like:
Yesterday, the wharf parking was closed because it started to flood. You could still see some of the parking spaces.

And this is what the wharf looks like today, the entire parking surface is covered with water. (this picture is a view of the entrance to the wharf taken from the Spreadshirt conference room):

WOW! I missed this post yesterday… I usually park there! I cannot believe how high up the water has gotten. I wonder where my duck friends are that hang out around the parking spaces.
Hmmmmm… perhaps I should have a shirt on that says “underwater” in honor of the wharf.
