UK airport cop: gun-shaped shirt decoration is illegal

This is an interesting question. Should the design on your t-shirt be considered a security threat?

“I was coming into Birmingham on transit to Singapore from Palma when I was stopped by a customs officer. I was wearing a stripy jumper with the shape of a pink gun sewn on to the front.” Look at the picture. Would you feel threatened by this?

Well, you should have been arrested for poor fashion sense (that jumper is ugly as sin!), but not for some imaginary security violation or for being offensive. The unthinking security morons strike again!
