Here is an interesting article from the Virginia Gazette in Williamsburg, VA that talks about t-shirt slogans being appropriate in schools. The article mentions the website SeeMeTees.com and the Abercrobie sister store, Hollister that sell t-shirts with provocative text. Some schools do not allow these t-shirts, other schools have banned printed t-shirts all together.
Here are some of the T-shirt from SeeMeTess.com

So I would like to open this up to the community for discussion. Should schools ban t-shirts with these sayings? Should schools ban all printed t-shirts? What do you think?

I have always held the opinion that it’s better for kids to uncover the often horrifying facts of modern life on a timely and well-printed tshirt while scampering about the hallways of a public school than outside, where all the creepy old people are. Too much writing on the shirt? I say, not enough.
There is no way I would stand for that if I were still in school. I was the kid who would have come back the next day with tshirt full of text saying anything I wanted. If you are going to ban slogan tshirts all together then just issue uniforms for the kids already! Its ridiculous that the schools feel they need to police what kids wear. Letting kids express themselves, as they do with slogan tshirts, is such an important part of growing up and experiencing life.
