T-shirt Wars - how cool is your shirt?

A few weeks ago my friend Heather made me visit KittenWar.comKittenWar.com is a site where you can vote on which cat is cuter.  Anyone can upload a picture of their cat and keep track of the cuteness rating of their own cat.  I am not crazy about cats, my family has a cat and it is crazy, so I am not a cat lover.  But I do like this idea of competition.

Well thanks to the good folks at Tcritic - there is now a Tshirt War.  Anyone can upload a picture of their t-shirt and then visitors vote for the coolest (or cutest, but probably coolest) t-shirt.  Sounds like an awesome way to share your t-shirts with the rest of the world.  Check it out and let us know what you think.

T-shirt Blogs: T-shirt Island

Check out this T-shirt blog: T-shirt IslandT-shirt Island is run by Rangga who is a college student in Singapore. Rangga has been running T-shirt Island since May. Here is what he had to say about T-shirt Island:

T-shirt Island is combination of my excitement in both blogging and graphic design. Since I couldn’t take all kind of graphic design and put into the blog myself, I choose to concentrate on T-shirt designs by promoting designs from independent artists and Tee shirt company.

During my exploration on T-shirt designs, I’ve found many inspired design which then I realized that, the limitation of T-shirt as a medium of art (such as limited colors used and size of image printed) would never stop artists and T-shirt designers from creating a wonderful artworks and that’s awesome, really.

If you are looking for a way to promote your t-shirts - Rangga loves to recieve free t-shirts to review. Click here for more information on how to contact T-shirt Island.

*** This is the first, of hopefully many, post profiling t-shirt blogs. If you write a t-shirt blog and would like to be featured here just send an email to lpa (at) spreadshirt.com

Business Week: Spreadshirt is Number 5 on list of European Growth Companies

Check out the latest issue of Business Week for an article about us!  Spreadshirt is named number 5 on Business Week’s list of top European growth companies.  Cool.  The article mostly talks about the European side of the business but there is even a mention of the Pittsburgh office.

Rent His Chest.com

I just read about this guy on the Milk Blog.  At RentMyChest.com you can pay $200, for Chris to write on his chest and post it to the internet.  Interesting.

For less than $20 you can visit Spreadshirt.com and order your very own shirt with whatever message you want.

*** Thanks to the great folks at Milk, an advertising firm in Connecticut for blogging about Spreadshirt.  They have an awesome blog with lots more interesting things.

Wists, Social Shopping Wishlists

I just found this site - Wists (http://www.wists.com/). The site is a little confusing, it is still in beta, but it is pretty cool. Wists is a visual list of things you like. Wists lets you add tags to your favorite items and then generates an feed that you can display on your site. You can add notes to each item so your friends can see why you like that Prince t-shirt or that snoopy snow cone maker. Even better there are lots of Spreadshirt items on Wists. You can check out my Wist’s list here.

Finally, you can be a player.

Okay, I know that we have already blogged about this t-shirt earlier this week.  But I really like the idea of this costume and since Halloween is now ONLY 10 days away I thought it was worth another blog post.  I was revisiting Instantcostume.com to look at the “MP3 player” t-shirt and I saw the description “finally, you can be a player” and I decided that the description alone was worth its own blog post.

So if you have every wanted to be a (MP3) player, throught the brilliance of Pete and Pete’s Brain Lab, now you can.  (The shirt is also available with short sleeves and women’s sizes too).

Bowling Team Spreadshirt

Here is another picture from the Bowling party last week. Just a nice shot of the whole Spreadshirt family.

Today is the Last Day for the Halloween Sale

Today is the last day for the Halloween Sale.  Better order now - Halloween is only 10 days away.

Team Spreadshirt goes bowling

Last Friday, the good folks at Spreadshirt were treated to a night of bowling fun at Hillview Lanes to hang out with Matthias, the chief technology guy who was here visiting us for the week.  One little hilarious story from the evening is that another bowler who was at the lanes commented on how nice it was that the group was out bowling.  This poor soul had mistaken team Spreadshirt for a group from the mental hospital.

This is a picture of me and the map to the bowling place, thank heavens we had a map, because there was no sign for the bowling alley and Josh and I drove past it 3 times before we figured out where the bowling alley was.

Matthias talks with Joanie about the finer points of Spreadshirt customer service

Denise and Andrew discuss who is a better bowler, Carsten or Matthias?
