Last night, Carsten and I stopped by the Pittsburgh Blog Fest #7. This was my first blog fest, and it was pretty cool. We met some of the other Pittsburgh bloggers and handed out some Spreadshirt t-shirts.
I learned that today, August 31, is International Blog Day. Blogday.org is the official site for International Blog Day.
As I understand it, Blog Day is one day for bloggers to help promote other bloggers. On Blog Day each blogger introduces 5 blogs to their readers, so that people can find new blogs.
Here are 5 very different blogs that are worth a visit:
1. Lakattack.de - Lukasz is the founder of Spreadshirt, he lives in Germany and this is his blog. He has lots of great pictures and video from all of his traveling and it’s a good look at the history of Spreadshirt.
2. Pittsburgh Bloggers - A blog of Pittsburgh blogs.
3. Preshrunk - This is a pretty cool blog that’s only about t-shirts.
4. Been There Clearing House - This is a blog that was started by Emily and Cooper. Last year, after Hurricane Katrina, their blog became and continues to serve as a clearing house for people that want to help hurricane victims.
5. ReadyMade Blog - ReadyMade is a great magazine about making things, very DIY. This is their blog with all kinds of great things to make and websites to check out.
