One of my favorite things about working here at Spreadshirt and about t-shirts in general are the stories behind the shirts.  Most t-shirts come with a story - maybe it is from a favorite place or it is a favorite color.  Maybe the shirt reminds you of a favorite event or concert.  Some times it is a little weird but when I can I like to ask people about their t-shirts and find out more about why they choose that t-shirt.

Well thankfully, no akward conversations with our CEO Jana Eggers - although it would never be an akward conversation - she is super nice and I know she LOVES to talk about t-shirts! Jana has started a new series of videos on YouTube called What’s Jana Wearing - these are great little clips where she shares the story behind what t-shirt she is wearing.  Check out this video about the “I heart” design

Some of you might have answered this question in a recent customer survey: how many of the products which you buy at Spreadshirt are meant as gifts for others? I’ll spare the drum-roll and get right to the answer: a little less than half of our customers intend to give the products they purchase at Spreadshirt to someone else as a gift. We have some very generous customers, I must say!

With the biggest gift-giving season just around the corner, we thought we would make it a little easier for our customers to find the gift they want. We have a brand new Gifts page! We’ve given them an interactive flash teaser to play around with and get right to the very category and gift they are looking for. There are six categories to choose from, each with sub-categories, allowing you to find gifts by price, gifts in one size (accessories), gifts for family and friends or gifts for holidays.

For those of you who peruse Spreadshirt’s home page daily might have come across a new tab in our navigation named “Featured Shops”. We thought that it would be a good idea to have a selection of shops which shows the unlimited possibilities, directions, niches and ways Spreadshirt partners use their shops to sell t-shirts. It’s a start – and we hope you like it!

Here they are:

There I am, striking the most posh Hefner pose I can muster (I don’t think the garden gnome helped), modeling off one of our new products. None were so creative enough as the Germans to guess at what I was throwing up in the air last week: their ideas ranged from a camel hair blanket to a massage pillow, but of course, in hindsight, it was a bathrobe. Sexy!

But, hold your horses! This gem is first hitting our range in the next round of apparel additions arriving in the coming weeks (along with a couple of other surprises!). It’s a great uni-size piece, both for him and for her, is very comfortable and light, and optimal for wandering around the house (or office) for the early morning trip to the coffee machine.

Moving along then to the apparel which you can already start designing for your shop’s (or your own personalised) autumn collection.

It’s October! It’s time for a new round of show and not-tell, and for the first preparations for the holiday season. Kristina already gave us a sneak peek at two of the upcoming holiday products, but this time we are going to make you work a little harder to figure out what this is. Above is a close-up, and below I threw it up in the air to see how it would fly. Gravity prevailed.
