A reminder to one and all that our Anti-Christmas Design Competition Extravaganza Expo-Fest-O-Rama 2007 ends this afternoon. We Spread Bloggers will take a vote and the winner will be announced on Monday and crowned the Mighty Designer of the Shirt that Stole Christmas. Which is your favourite so far?

In the meantime, the excellent anti-Festive cartoon from Bifsniff.com (above) is sure to keep you in the mood.

Festivus for the Rest of Us: Anti-Xmas Design Contest Update

There must be something in the eggnog…The Anti-Christmas designs entries are now pouring in.  And as I had suspected, the Bah Humbug mentality crosses both language barriers and culinary divides.   The latest are under the cut for your viewing pleasure: continue reading ‘Festivus for the Rest of Us: Anti-Xmas Design Contest Update’

Anti-Holidays Design Competition

Anti Holidays Competition

Christmas is around the corner and thus begins the great divide: between the Stooges - the enthusiasts who love everything about Holiday cheer, and the Scrooges - the ones who might like the core idea of Christmas, but can’t stand the six weeks of hype and hysteria leading up to it.

We’re all about equal representation here at Spreadshirt, so now we’re on a quest to find the quintessential anti-Christmas shirt design. Therefore I hereby launch as part of our equal rights, anti-Christmas campaign, a design competition for “Shirt that Stole Christmas”!! continue reading ‘Anti-Holidays Design Competition’

Anyone want an Iphone?

mashable_competition.jpg

I’m sure a lot of you read Mashable the social networking news site. Mashable is the world’s largest blog on social networking. and one of the top 100 blogs worldwide. Now we’re partnering with them to power a Mashable T-shirt Design Contest. You’ll know all about these from La Fraise and the OLP.

The main prize is an 8gb Iphone!! Read more about it here, or submit here

And the OLP winner is……

Erm, that should have been “winners are”…. as in the end the standard was so high we couldn’t pick just one.

Play with the forms by Lufograf and Lovetab by Kimlarsen shared the honours.

We just didn’t feel ready to seperate these two, they’re just so great and at this point equal. Rather than pick the wrong one and possibly regret the decision later we decided to declare them both the winner and upgrade second prize to match 1st.

Now our Graphics dept and winning designers Kimlarsen and Lufograf (if they wish) can work together with us to develop the two logos and then we’ll make a final, final decision which to pick in the coming month or more. This process will also be open and you can follow it here on the blog.

Laurents The Signal came 3rd and Japasas Spreadshirt TM received a special merit. We didn’t plan a 4th place but that design was too strong to leave empty handed.

Here are all the winners modeling their logos on Spreadshirts after the unveiling party we had this weekend in Leipzig.:

Here is what Jana said about the decision:

“I’m overwhelmed by the response this project has drawn from inside and outside our community. It is remarkable that we had four designs that each easily could have been our logo. After weeks of discussions, Kim Larsen’s and Niclas Bulard’s designs felt the best for us as a company. We couldn’t pick just one! ”

And here she is preparing to unveil the winners:

Read more about how we made this decision over at the OLP blog

Thanks to everybody who voted or commented during this project, we’re delighted with the quality of our finalists. We’re really excited to see how these two develop and the final form our new logo will take. The OLP has been a real pleasure to organize and we’re humbled by the creativity of everyone that took part :)

OLP Winner - Come and vote

The OLP is nearly over :(
Now we have the ultra fun task of picking the overall winner and out future logo, and giving out all the other prizes. Help us, come and pick your winner!

OLP Closed: Voting to begin

OLP closed it’s doors to submissions late on Sunday night. With reports of a submission rate of 5 logos per minute in the closing stages, it has taken a little while to get all the entries approved. In the end there were 2808 logos submitted, and so far 13 entries have made it to the grand final (there may be a few more from the final weeks shortlist, which will be decided today).

But OLP.16 is not over! In the next few days we will release a survey where you will be able to give your opinion on what should be the new Spreadshirt logo. More details to come soon…

T-Shirt safari – Blog a design and win it..

marketplace.jpg

http://marketplace.spreadshirt.net/

The total number of marketplace designs has now reached 23,515 (.net) and 7258 (.com), and we are giving you a chance to win a piece of the action. All you need to do is blog any design you like, and you can win that design on a t-shirt of your choice*! We call it safari because there are a heck of a lot of designs in the marketplace right now, and visibility is fast approaching that of the Amazons basin during monsoon season (or London in summer) (yep, we’re still working on a better search). There is even a blog covering marketplace designs, Flachsi’s blog (in German) http://marktplatz.wordpress.com/ !
