Those who subscribe to the newsletter are already in the know – but it’s time to really let the cat products out of the bag. Just in time for the wave of summer heat, these new items are casual, let the air flow and show just that little bit more skin. We added three new products to our apparel assortment on Friday: a classic pocket t-shirt from American Apparel (in black, white and navy) for men, as well as a summer top with a deep v-neck from Continental Clothing (in white, peacock blue and pink) and a casual racerback tank dress from American Apparel (white, black and red) for women.

Currently these articles are available exclusively for our shop partners – and there are two good reasons for this. First of all, we wanted you to always be able to have the newest apparel available in your shops.  Secondly, we also wanted to give you the chance to create Marketplace products before the new apparel became available for the customers on Spreadshirt.

We’re certainly looking forward to seeing your creativity with these products. So let these new cuts inspire and be sure to post the links to your products with this apparel once you have them in your shop or on the Marketplace.

One of the questions we often get is: what are the best-selling products at Spreadshirt? Since this question is pretty easy to answer and the results are relatively constant, we came up with this nifty image of the top 10 products for you. The image also shows the top colours which sold best for those products in the first quarter of 2009 (in order of their popularity).

Just because these products sell so well doesn’t mean you should immediately flood the Marketplace with these products our apparel assortment has much, much more to offer.

A few months ago, we sent one of our test lab employees over to the relatively young Berlin fashion label Emperor’s Clothing. They have been working hard on developing a new fabric and we thought that “Earth Month” would be the right time to introduce, drum roll please, the “Revolutee”! The name might sound a bit presumptuous at first glance, but give it a chance. We are definitely expecting a lot from this product, especially since the most common reasons for shirt returns are: wrong size, wrong colour or that the cut doesn’t fit.

Those are exactly the points which our test lab teamed up with Emperor’s to solve – and they hit the nail right on the head. Their shirt is not only unisex and available in every colour imaginable, it is also suitable for every occasion – and it is the first unisex shirt which has truly earned that title. What does this mean for you? Simply add a design and order it. There’s no more need to find the right style and size, washing it is elementary and it’s 100% organic. Note: the Revolutee(on) is expected to be available this coming Monday when we roll out the other new additions to our assortment. Stay tuned!

Printable Timbuk2 bags at Spreadshirt

As part of my job, I glorify products. This time, it’s easy, because it sure is hard as hell NOT to like Timbuk2 messenger bags. The ones you can pimp with your personal design at Spreadshirt now. Sound cheesy? Well, you just look at the bags. They are simply very very good fare. Can you ever be more of a bag in this life, than being a Timbuk2 bag? I doubt it. They have it all, these bagalicious beauties. Geological Durability (for they will probably outlive you, son), humble and pragmatic origins (bike messengers, the ones with titanium skeletons, carried them riding SF streets. In the fifties, their predecessors were in use by pole men fixing telephone lines). Ok, what was I supposed to say? Ah yeah. HURRY, WE HAVE LIMITED STOCK OF THESE ONLY! Do I have to write this? The size relation doesn´t mirror reality.

Now that at least in Germany summer finally decided to look like summer again, for hygenic reasons, backpacks aren´t the bags to go with anymore. Fortunately, Alena who is responsible for Spreadshirt´s apparel, has added some new shoulder and hand bags to our stock.

On the one hand, we got the “Retro Bags“, which exactly hold a towel, a book, a cellphone, a bottle of water, a bottle of sun screen and some bathing stuff.

On the other we have the Organic Tote Bag which - I tested that myself - can perfectly hold a Powerbook, a headset, some magazines and one or two pencils.

Of course, they offer excellent printing results, too. Otherwise we wouldn´t have them.

Probably the most asked for thing next to “goal line technology” in football: more kids stuff in our assortment. Well, here we go: today we added the Continental Kids-Shirt made from 100% organic cotton. Comes in baby blue, white, red and black. (Plus: with a grammage of 200g, it keeps looking good despite of daily washes.)
