Jessica Hagy has fun with Maths!

card1539.JPG

Jessica Hagy is well known in the blogoshere for her unique take on Mathematical Charts and Venn Diagrams. Over on her blog, Indexed, you can find over 500 notecards filled with my personal favourites such as Danger!Danger!, Let it go and Ticked. Jessicas “doodles” have proven so popular that she now has her own book (for sale on Amazon), and her own Spreadshirt Shop! Jessica was kind enough to answer a few of Michels questions, which can be found in the full post…

Spreadshirt has moved!

From the “Move Master Michael”

It is just unbelievable. Back in January we stood in front of a heap of rubble and dirty ground and now this: Presses, shelves, T-Shirts, people. No more delay, no eventualities, no maybes. Last weekend our production department moved into the new building. Goodbye Taucha, Welcome Plagwitz!

Naturally such a tour de force leaves its marks. Despite teamwork and nightshifts at the weekend we couldn’t prevent that one or the other T-Shirt arrived with a day delay. Please forgive us, we promise not to move again in the next five years or so. Also our new home is prepared for some growth so you will find us at Gießerstraße 27 for the next years to come.
What else is going on? Well, first of all we will have to optimize workflows in the new surroundings. Everyone in production is now working together in the big hall and that saves us a lot of time. Time we will use to produce T-Shirts even faster and get them delivered to you with even more reliability. The rest of the Spreadshirt crew, e.g. Marketing and Service, will move in early August.
And by the way: If you want to come looking for us at night then, follow the green light…. More on this one in the next blog post.

Spreadshirt is moving! #03

Time for the latest update from “project relocation” specialist Antje.

03 Old stuff - new stuff
One reason why we chose to move into the old Kirow-factory was the old industrial charme that the building has. And it also had these fantastic walls, posts, graffiti and historic electro trash which looks like from a different century. During one of the first visits of the new location, Uwe, our VP Engineering, discovered an old elevator engine which we will hopefully be able to somehow integrate in the new office. Of course, Uwe wants to have it in the IT department :)

new-features-at-spreadshirt

New features at Spreadshirt.

Ok, here’s a quick update on 2 new features which just went live today.

Number 1:

You can now edit your products once you have created them in the shop admin area!
Number 2:

It is now possible to change the shipping address once you are in the checkout process (rather than going back and editing your profile)

We are please to finally be able to offer 2 of the more “obvious” shop partner requested features.

And here are a couple of screenshots:

The new “edit product” button now on the admin area:

Spreadshirt is moving! #02

Part 2 of the Spreadshirt move series coming up. Once again, a big thanks to Antje for providing all the interesting info. If you are a fan of the TV series Grand Designs (like me!) then be sure to check out the images in the full post. Once again i will now pass you over to Antje…

02 What is currently happening on the construction site?
Yesterday I had a look at our new premises at Naumburger Straße again. It didn’t look too bad: a lot of construction workers, equipment and machinery, a lot of noise and quite some debris. That’s exactly the way it should be. The structural works are not completed yet. At the moment, they are working on the additional office space for the first floor. That is there are props and supporting stands everywhere in the hall.

Spreadshirt Stories V

For this episode of Spreadshirt Stories, Juliane was kind enough to reveal the story behind her pink hoodie.

“I ordered the sweater to attract the man I have a crush on. For I will go see him wearing it. By the way, I could not wait to go shopping in downtown Bamberg, to flaunt my new sweater as soon as I got it. People sure were looking my way that day…”

Spreadshirt is moving! #01

For those of you that dont know, the Spreadshirt HQ is based in Leipzig, Germany (helps the following blog entry make sense). I will now pass you onto our move specialist, Antje, who will guide you through the basic safety procedures. If you are a frequent reader with us…. then great! (I hope you enjoy learning a bit more about us ;) )

3 Reasons for moving…

Hey, I´m Antje, I´m new to the blog but generally old.
For all who don´t know already: Spreadshirt will once again move. Nope, not to Berlin where all those other companies move to, but within Leipzig. The special thing about the move: the actual production facility will be joined with the administration again. It used to be this way already some time ago, but due to our expansion we had to separate the two departments. Production moved to Taucha, the HQ to Plagwitz. Now, what belongs together will be together again.

Spreadshirt Stories IV

Bikers seem to have a special relationship with t-Shirts. In this Spreadshirt story, Andy, a hotel manager tells us his story about how he traveled 2500 miles around 8 different countries of Europe. As you can see, his custom made shirt (which thankfully did get washed ;) ) made the whole journey with him.
