Twardrobe Feedback: Girls Sure Can Sport Guys’ Shirts

Yet another review of Spreadshirt’s products has arrived for our Twardrobe series. This time Simon reviewed our Men’s Summer Shirt from Continental. I must say here that girls have the distinct advantage that they can pull off wearing a men’s shirt. You won’t see many guys running around in our Spaghetti Top. Here are the hard facts about the Summer Shirt for those missing summer in November:

Who are you? What do you do?
My Name is Simon and I study Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden. I am also a proud Shop Partner at Spreadshirt. My shop °white tees offers designs which are based on graphic design, as well as shirts based on fonts and photography. I’ve only recently put together my shop and am putting a lot of time and work into the new designs. New designs should be arriving over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled. ;-)

What do you like about how the shirt looks?
The design: brilliant! But, it is from my shop :) I like the shirt itself just as much as the design.

How does it fit? continue reading ‘Twardrobe Feedback: Girls Sure Can Sport Guys’ Shirts’

Twardrobe Feedback: Hare Farms and Organic T-Shirts

We’re back again with yet another hot product review from our October Twardrobe series. You may think “another one?”, but it’s nice to have customers talking about our products here for a change (rather then me!). Henning is our next winner and he designed, ordered wrote a review of the above-pictured Men’s Organic Shirt from Continental Clothing. It seems our Twardrobers like to take pictures of their pets and the shirt (see below). Here’s what Henning has to say:

Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Henning and I wear exclusive shirts from “HASENFARM – Manufaktur für Fellersatzstoffe” (loosely translated as HAREFARM – Manufacturer of Fur Substitutes). continue reading ‘Twardrobe Feedback: Hare Farms and Organic T-Shirts’

Twardrobe Feedback: Cats & The Recycled Shirt

The first of the Twardrobe feedback has arrived! Steffen was one of the winners of the October edition of Twardrobe and got (instead of the requested Men’s Organic Shirt from Continental Clothing) our Anvil Recycled T-Shirt. Let’s get straight to his feedback:

Who are you and what do you do?

I am one of the Twardrobe winners and I write about things I win.

Twardrobe in October: We want you to test our apparel!

I know that Twitter twordplay has had its hype, but we’ve had the Twordrobe series running for a while now and we all know not to change tworses in midstream. But you can make the horse better! We’ve decided to improve upon the Twordrobe idea, namely with more shirts and products which already exist in our apparel range. All together we are offering 8 products up for testing.

For the gentlemen:
- Summer Shirt from Continental Clothing
- Organic T-Shirt from Continental Clothing
- Henley Shirt from American Apparel
- Recycled T-Shirt from Anvil

For the ladies:
- Scoop Neck T-Shirt from Bella
- Summer T-Shirt from Continental Clothing
- Organic T-Shirt from Continental Clothing
- Sleeveless Shirt from Continental Clothing

And here’s how it tworks (ok, I’ll stop):

  1. Write a Tweet applying to test out your favourite product from the Twarbrobe shirts listed above. Simply reply or retweet with @spreadshirt and #twardrobe in your tweet. We’d be even happier if you referenced this blogpost, e.g. use this link: http://bit.ly/twardrobe (so your followers know what this twardrobe is about).
  2. We will select the winners on 21st October 2009. If you win, you will receive a voucher for the product you chose.
  3. Create the t-shirt in our T-Shirt designer with your favourite design, redeem your voucher during checkout and complete the order.
  4. When the shirt arrives, try it on!
  5. Send us a photo and your feedback/thoughts/review of the product.

Let’s review that again: apply, order, wear and review. ;-)

Your feedback will then be published in the blog. So get tweeting, the deadline for applications is in 2 days (21st October)!

Twardrobe III - Giving new Products a Spin

We are proud to present our third installment of Twardrobe – our mix of Twitter, wardrobe and customer reviews of our new products. Big thanks goes out to Jonas and Sandra for testing our American Apparel Fleece Track Pants (pardon my Americanism) and our Drape Hem Skirt.

I am not usually the track pants kind of guy. But this time I immediately found these trousers quite appealing: really comfortable and they sit great – not so baggy like other sweatpants. After putting them on, I suddenly had the urge to move. And when my girlfriend Sandra slipped into the skirt and started to dance around, because the skirt rises just ever so nicely, we decided to head out into the garden and give these products a spin. Sandra was a bit skeptical about the skirt’s material: 70% bamboo – hmm. But it actually feels really comfortable to the touch and there doesn’t seem to be any bamboo shoots woven into it. Wearing the skirt in the dress variation first presents you with the question of how high it should sit. If you don’t want to show too much décolleté (a.k.a. cleavage), then this dress is dangerously short. With just a little twist and turn you’ll be doing your best Marilyn Monroe impersonation.

There you have it! If you want to be the lucky reviewer of our newest products, keep your eye on our Twitter account for the next Twardrobe!

Twardrobe - we pretest harder than you party

It’s getting spring (well, at least a little bit, in Leipzig we had over 10° Celcius and a lot of rain on the weekend). Time for another round of our twardrobe. Huh, twardwhat? The twardrobe is our “be the first to try out exclusively” game on twitter. Here is how it works:

- You follow us on twitter.

- You check our tweets until we announce another round of our twardrobe

- You reply to us with “absolutely”. If you’re lucky (and located in Europe), we pull out your name - and you will be one of the first persons to test exclusively new items that we are listing in a month or so.

- We check back for your size and send you the products. You can keep them as long as you give us your feedback how you like them, for example a video, a foto or a report (German example from the first twardrobe).

If you hurry, you’ll be in this weeks game - this time, we’ll put the brandnew Earth Positive Shirts in the ring, as well as several of our new eco tote bags (all by Continental Clothing).
