For those of you that dont know, the Spreadshirt HQ is based in Leipzig, Germany (helps the following blog entry make sense). I will now pass you onto our move specialist, Antje, who will guide you through the basic safety procedures. If you are a frequent reader with us…. then great! (I hope you enjoy learning a bit more about us

3 Reasons for moving…
Hey, I´m Antje, I´m new to the blog but generally old.
For all who don´t know already: Spreadshirt will once again move. Nope, not to Berlin where all those other companies move to, but within Leipzig. The special thing about the move: the actual production facility will be joined with the administration again. It used to be this way already some time ago, but due to our expansion we had to separate the two departments. Production moved to Taucha, the HQ to Plagwitz. Now, what belongs together will be together again.
Now that´s reason one for our relocation (the fifth in six years…). Everybody who has visited us in our current office, the “Garage”, will know the second reason: a lack of space. I´m lucky - I got a desk for my own, but it´s not only about me ![]()
We realized last summer that we had to look for an alternative - and that´s what I ended up doing: searching for a new location for weeks. There were a few nice spots, but the only one that totally fitted our needs was the an old car-part-factory in Naumburger Straße. We decided to move there and signed the contract in early October.
So we will stay in Plagwitz, a part of Leipzig that still strongly smells of a centrally planned economy, but which has also grown to an important place for artists and other creative people.
What´s reason three you might ask? Well, our old roof terrace became too small! Our new one will be 370m2 which should be enough to “chill, meet and shoot pedestrians with water guns” (Spreadshirt founder Lukasz Gadowski).
When will it be finished? How is the construction site currently looking? What do the Spreaders think of the move? This and more will be published right here regularly from now on by me and my colleague Micha.

Parts 2 and 3 coming soon…
