And the OLP winner is……

Erm, that should have been “winners are”…. as in the end the standard was so high we couldn’t pick just one.

Play with the forms by Lufograf and Lovetab by Kimlarsen shared the honours.

We just didn’t feel ready to seperate these two, they’re just so great and at this point equal. Rather than pick the wrong one and possibly regret the decision later we decided to declare them both the winner and upgrade second prize to match 1st.

Now our Graphics dept and winning designers Kimlarsen and Lufograf (if they wish) can work together with us to develop the two logos and then we’ll make a final, final decision which to pick in the coming month or more. This process will also be open and you can follow it here on the blog.

Laurents The Signal came 3rd and Japasas Spreadshirt TM received a special merit. We didn’t plan a 4th place but that design was too strong to leave empty handed.

Here are all the winners modeling their logos on Spreadshirts after the unveiling party we had this weekend in Leipzig.:

Here is what Jana said about the decision:

“I’m overwhelmed by the response this project has drawn from inside and outside our community. It is remarkable that we had four designs that each easily could have been our logo. After weeks of discussions, Kim Larsen’s and Niclas Bulard’s designs felt the best for us as a company. We couldn’t pick just one! ”

And here she is preparing to unveil the winners:

Read more about how we made this decision over at the OLP blog

Thanks to everybody who voted or commented during this project, we’re delighted with the quality of our finalists. We’re really excited to see how these two develop and the final form our new logo will take. The OLP has been a real pleasure to organize and we’re humbled by the creativity of everyone that took part :)

New Halloween Font

halloween_shirt.jpg

I’ll try to resist ghoulish punnage with this post, but I can make no promises…

You’ve still time to get shirt for Halloween, in order to trick you out (sorry it was too hard to resist) we’ve introduced a new super scary Halloween font for you to use. Combined it with the glow in the dark flex for maximum impact.  It seems i’ve been the default model for all Halloween related shenanigans this year, I apologize for that, a few people have already reported that i’m a little scary :(

OLP Closed: Voting to begin

OLP closed it’s doors to submissions late on Sunday night. With reports of a submission rate of 5 logos per minute in the closing stages, it has taken a little while to get all the entries approved. In the end there were 2808 logos submitted, and so far 13 entries have made it to the grand final (there may be a few more from the final weeks shortlist, which will be decided today).

But OLP.16 is not over! In the next few days we will release a survey where you will be able to give your opinion on what should be the new Spreadshirt logo. More details to come soon…

T-Shirt safari – Blog a design and win it..

marketplace.jpg

http://marketplace.spreadshirt.net/

The total number of marketplace designs has now reached 23,515 (.net) and 7258 (.com), and we are giving you a chance to win a piece of the action. All you need to do is blog any design you like, and you can win that design on a t-shirt of your choice*! We call it safari because there are a heck of a lot of designs in the marketplace right now, and visibility is fast approaching that of the Amazons basin during monsoon season (or London in summer) (yep, we’re still working on a better search). There is even a blog covering marketplace designs, Flachsi’s blog (in German) http://marktplatz.wordpress.com/ !

Martijn’s Tips

martijn.jpgHi! Today a tip on the User-area and some News. When working in the Products section of your shop admin, always pay attention to the dropdown menu on the left, that has the options Show All, Marketplace, and Shop ######. To create or edit the products directly for your Shop, you simply select ‘Shop#####’. Here you can also create categories within your product range.

If you’re creating products within Show All-Focus, you can then add these products to Marketplace and Shop. This way you can manage your Halloween Stuff frighteningly efficient…

Did you know you can buy the products in your Shop without paying the commission? Under ‘Products’ select Show All in the dropdown menu. When you click the ‘Buy’ button on the right of the product, you only pay the base price without any added commission. But beware; products that are sold over the Show All focus are not counted as your own sales, and will not help you save up for any free vector uploads.

Don’t forget to upload scarily cool gallery images of you wearing your Halloween kit under ‘Shop ######’ and then selecting Upload Gallery image’ . Give your customers a shopping experience they’ll never forget.

Meet a Spreader - Manon Bay

Manon Bay is responsible for French shop-partner business. With France clocking in behind Germany, US and UK in terms of revenue, there is quite a field to plow! In order to be at close quarters with Spread marketing, she moved from Paris to Leipzig in April. A rather unlikely move – or is it? Manon speaks out.
