Yep we are having some early preliminary tests with dtg but nothing is confirmed at this point. We are testing a lot of different printing technology all the time. As well as the printing quality there are other things to consider like if it fits with the future direction of the Spreadshirt brand. A lot of customers tell us that they like that their shirt is handmade as shown in the hands per piece video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ5OBhlJEhQ

Sorry I cant give you a definitive answer on this.

My experience with direct to garment is positive, I've got three tees all over a year old (maybe two) and the prints are still as good as the day I bought them. They weren't cheap but if the quality SS can eventually offer is close then they'll be preferable to Flex I reckon.

Thanks for you're input guys, I'll get on it. Yeah we've had a few questions on direct-to-garment. Here my response on it from a different thread:

I wouldn’t rule it out. At the moment there are still some questions around quality, longevity of prints etc

As soon as we’re sure the technology is ready its something we will definitely consider.

Out of interest - what’s your experiences with direct to garment shirts? You like them? They hold up well?

Alasdair I think this is a really good idea.

My gut feeling is that if there was something that those of us with shops could use, that looked professional, to illustrate the differences then it would be extremely beneficial.

As it is at the moment, the names power reflex, etc., almost mean something if you run a shop because of familiarity with them but the people (potential customers) who I've asked about them have universally shied away because they are significant unknowns.

A swatch image of all of the print-types that have extended visual qualities and comparison between them would be very interesting. I'd include the "neon" as well as the "reflex" and "metallic" colours in this as well.

Cheers.
