Meet organic t-shirt models and Spreadshirt graphic stars: Julia & Julia.
If you need a quick, clever design, talk to Julia Bräunig (seen right). High-speed, no-holds barred graphic wizard, taking care of, among other things, newsletter images. A student of Multimedia in Kiel (that’s in northern Germany), she moved southwards to first intern, then start fulltime as a graphic assistant. A job of many responsibilities: “slaving, drinking coffee, smoking, surfing”. More concretely: banners shop layouts and the broad, random variety of graphic demands made by Spreadshirt colleagues.

…changes daily. Currently: The Shins, Beck, Bright Eyes

What is the craziest experience of your life?
When the other Julia started working here! Finally, someone with the same name as me! And we also had the same festival wristbands on (fusion and melt). Unbelievable.
Also: a book by my grandfather (Werner Bräunig) was just nominated for the Leipzig Book Conference Prize - the book is 40 years old and had been kept silent for political reasons till now.

What is your favourite movie/actor?
Absolute favourite: Wings of Desire, oh and Napoleon Dynamite. Favourite actor: Jake Gyllenhal in Donnie Darko

Any pets?
My two flatmates and my boyfriend - all very cute and well behaved. And they eat and speak by themselves!

Hobbies?
Fumbling through music, photography, pretending to, sprawling about, lying in the sun.

Next holiday location?
My bed.

Plans/dreams?
Live in England for a while, become filthy rich, make more music, meet more Julias.

It’s hard not to like Julia Kontor. A graphics intern since August 2006, she’s often the subject of Spreadshirt images - she’s our default inhouse model. To be seen in the new Spreadshirt start page (with colleague Tobias). She makes great poster (for LaFraise, for example) and other stuff for printing. And designing shops, banners and taking care of the very chique school.spreadshirt.net.

Yeah, I have a cat Cats are soooo great, much better than dogs! They have their own mind and only do what they want. A great life lying around, eating, get petted a bit and sleep most of the time.
