Bebo’s managed to push ahead of Myspace in the social network races. According to the article “only just over a year old, already attracts 3.5 billion page views a month, and people spend an hour on the site at a time”. This was published August 11, 2006. But, as siliconbeat reports, Bebo said the same thing in February. And they are targetting bands, with unlimited content uploads (vids, songs, etc.) and letting users create playlists. It’s stripped down, and has less of the advertising that’s overwhelming Myspace. But is less customiseable, and although killer in the UK, less internationally successful than the old mspace.
Oh, and a brilliant title for those still myspacing, from the fantastic mashable.com: Browster 2.0 Makes MySpace Suck Less
